Boyler Room : Bob Steinbock - West Valley Redhawks

As lacrosse participation has exploded across the country, new leaders have emerged to facilitate this growth and uphold the traditions so integral to the integrity of the game.  It is my pleasure to have Bob Steinbock as the guest for this edition of the Boyler Room.

Bob represents the Archetype that lacrosse desperately needs:

Player
Parent
Coach
Professional

His love for the sport came to fruition while pursuing football at Santa Clara.  Like most of us involved with lacrosse, once he got a taste of it (especially at the Face-off X), it was over.  Since his initial introduction, he has stayed actively involved as a coach, working with the same Redhawks program that supported me during my time as a member of the San Jose Stealth.

No cliffnotes this time … a must listen for all parents trying to figure out the best way to get involved in their son’s program, especially in burgeoning areas. Youth Program Directors – use the advice in this Podcast as a blueprint for how you can engage more members of your community to volunteer.  Bob has managed to open doors for his son, coach them to a highly successful season, and help build the sport all while maintaining a demanding job and professional career.

The lessons here are invaluable so I hope you enjoy.
